LCS Info & Parents Meetings
2nd Semester School fees 2024-2025
Your invoice for the 2nd semester 2024-2025 school fees will be sent by email mid November 2024. It will also be available on your Eduka portal. Please make sure that your account is up to date with the 1st semester fees 2024-25.

Departure notice - last reminder.
Last week to complete your child’s departure form on Eduka.
In the event of a potential departure from the institution, a notice period of 6 weeks must be observed before the last day of class, which is Monday, November 11, to avoid a deduction of $250. The departure form should be completed on Eduka via the departure module.

Run Against Hunger in Primary School
We are delighted to announce the Run Against Hunger, which involves all primary school students as well as the eco-delegates from secondary school.
Details of the 12th of November:
- GS to Y5 + PA B and C classes : Snape Park from 9 AM on Tuesday 12th of November – Parents are welcome to run with the students and to cheer on all the other classes.
Details of the 14th of November (Updated program) :
Parents of students are invited to come and cheer from 9:00 a.m. (entrance via Anzac Parade).
For the Petite Section (PS)
- The PS A, PS B classes, and PS students from PA A are expected in the Anzac courtyard at 9:00 a.m.
Races timetable:
- 1st race : 9.15am - PS A + PS students from PA A
- 2nd race : 9.30 am - PS B and PS students in PA A
For the Moyenne Section (MS)
- The MS A, MS B, MS C classes, and MS students from PA A are expected in the Anzac courtyard at 9:50 a.m.
Races timetable:
- 1st race: 10.05am - MS A + MS students from PA A
- 2nd race: 10.15am - MS B + MS students from PA A
- 3rd race: 10.25am - MS C + MS students from PA A
End of the race : 10.30 am

All parents & friends are invited to celebrate a fun filled morning on Tuesday 12th November, at Snape Park, Maroubra.
"The Words of War: When Speech is Freed"
From Monday, November 11 to Friday, November 15, the library will host an immersive exhibition dedicated to World War I. Created by the students of Y9 A, B, and C classes under the guidance of their teachers, Mme Builles, M. Duncan, Mme Halter, and Mme Lavaud, this exhibition provides a deep and moving insight into this historical period.
Through various mediums, the students pay tribute to the voices of the time: propaganda posters, audio guides on the Battle of Verdun, articles denouncing the lies of the leaders, as well as letters from soldiers and poems in English created and performed by the students themselves.
This event invites everyone to immerse themselves in History and the personal stories of those who lived through this war, in order to better understand and commemorate.
LCS celebrates halloween.
Last week, Lycée Condorcet celebrated Halloween in a festive and colourful atmosphere. From the youngest in Petite Section to the Terminales, the students competed in creativity with costumes as varied as they were impressive. Ghosts, witches, superheroes, and mythical creatures filled the hallways.
Le concours de costume au secondaire a également apporté son lot de surprises et d’originalité. En première place, nous retrouvons le groupe des Schtroumpfettes, suivi d’Ella en extraterrestre, Mathilde (3A), Clara (1ère), Charlotte (6A), Harper (6B) et enfin, les emblématiques Mario Brothers.

Meeting with Jason Reynolds
The Y8 A SIB class had the chance to participate in an exceptional webinar with American writer and poet Jason Reynolds.
This exchange will enrich their study of two of his novels, The Long Way Down - All American Boys. Jason Reynolds, with his incredible inspiration, helped them explore the connection between storytelling and citizenship. In fact, we were the only school outside of the United States to participate.
The webinar also provided an opportunity for deep discussions on the role of literature and the engagement of young people in citizenship and change.

Little stories, Big Ideas writing competition
This competition is free to enter, has 2 categories, Years 7-9 and Years 10-12, Entries are 100 words or less and must include the theme. Many prizes to be won! Closes 20 December: more information.
Westpac Youth Impact Challenge
This nationwide initiative is open to all people aged 7-21 years. The challenge aims to help young people solve problems in their local communities. Participants can choose to work individually or in groups of 3. For more information: link here.
