This week, two key highlights for our students at LCS in December:
Let’s Create a Start-Up :
Let’s Create a Start-Up: This latest edition provided our students with a unique opportunity to showcase their intelligence, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. Under the sponsorship of French Tech Australia and the expert guidance of Pierre Alzingre, President of the association Tous Entreprenants, the 11 participating teams presented business ideas evaluated based on desirability, feasibility, and sustainability. After deliberation by a jury of five experienced entrepreneurs, here are the award-winning projects: 1st Prize: Éternité Verte – Lou, Zoé, Maëva, Juliette, Maya; 2nd Prize: Nomadix – Lara, Ziggy, Révana, Lili; 3rd Prize: Sportboard – Edgar, Olive, Malone, Louise, Juliette. This initiative beautifully highlights the collaboration between students and parents. With talent and determination, the students delivered outstanding presentations before an inspiring jury.
Future Ambassadors and Ambassadresses Edition 2024-2025 (AAEH) :
The 2025 edition of the AAEH competition from AEFE promises an exciting journey through space and time. The final of the school will take place on December 17th in the presence of the French Consul, Martin Juillard. We warmly invite the parents of participating students to stay tuned for more information about this upcoming event.

21st December 2024- 19th January 2025-The school closes (no access and limited communication with Admissions).
20th January 2025-Back-to-School.
22nd January 2025- Registration for March and April vacation care opens at 8:00 PM on Eduka.

LCS Info & Parents Meetings
CANTEEN ENROLMENT 2nd SEMESTER 2024-2025
The canteen module on Eduka will be open today from 8pm for the 2nd semester 2024-25 enrolments.
By default, enrolments from the 1st semester 2024-2025 are automatically renewed for the 2nd semester 2024-2025.
If you wish to modify any option (change of days, new enrolment or cancellation) please log into the canteen module Please ensure that your Eduka account is up to date and that all fees for the 2025–2026 academic year have been settled. - - and check the enrolment status of your child. No changes will be possible after 12/01/25.
Conference: How to Support Your Child in Dealing with School Bullying?
International Chemistry Quiz Wednesday 18th of Decemberfrom 6pm to 8pm, don't miss this conference online organised by the RESIS Center., dedicated to a crucial subject : Bullying and peer intimidation.
Theme :
Learn to recognise the signs, find the right words, and take effective action to support children in these situations.
This session will be animated by Marie-Charlotte CLERF, an expert in supporting families facing these challenges.

Reminder :AES (ExtraCurricular Activities) for the second semester 2024-2025 for students from Grande Section
- Posting of enrolments in Eduka - AES Extracurricular Activities module: Friday 6 December 2024.
- Enrolments open in Eduka: Thursday 12 December 2024 at 8.30pm.
- Limit of 2 activities for 24 hours - No limit from Friday 13th December 2024 at 8.30 pm.
- Enrolments close in Eduka: Sunday 5th January 2025 at 11pm.
- Activities start on the first day of school, Monday 20 January 2025 and end of activities on the last day of school, Friday 27 June 2025.
No cancellations or changes will be accepted after the close of registration and the full semester will be payable..

Enrichment Activities
Summer Programs (July- August 2025)
These academic programs are open to students from Year 8-12 and offer the opportunity to challenge students intellectually whilst immersing in a new culture. The USA and UK have many summer program offerings, but some do exist in Europe and Canada. Course offerings are diverse - from Aerospace Engineering to Criminology, Law, Medicine …and more. Now is the time to start planning for July 2025! There are scholarships available too.

IE University (Madrid) Junior Advisory Board
This amazing opportunity is targeted at Premiere/IB1 students and takes place in person at IE university in Madrid from 6-12 April 2025. The theme of the event is
‘’imagining tomorrow: sustainable design for impactful change’’..
To apply you need to address this theme in a 5minute video pitch plus submit a transcript and recommendation letter.

IE University Junior Advisory Board
AEFE, virtual tradeshow
As part of the first week of orientation, the fifth edition of the Virtual Salon for Studies in France will take place from December 9 to 13 (every day from 7 PM, Sydney time). The program will feature educational teams hosting conferences on the following topics: business schools, engineering schools, Sciences Po, hospitality schools, design schools, universities in Île-de-France and Montpellier, preparatory classes for Grandes Écoles, architecture schools, specialty choices in the first year of high school, and the presentation of the BFI (International French Baccalaureate).
This tradeshow will also be an opportunity to learn about the Parcoursup procedure, which will be presented by its National Project Manager, Mr. Jérôme TEILLARD, in anticipation of the opening of the 2025 session, scheduled for December 11.

Sports Associations
The LCS is delighted to announce that,the registration for the 2nd semester of secondary school sports associations (AS) will open on Eduka on Thursday 12 December at 8.30pm..
Surfing, badminton, handball, futsal and tennis are just some of the activities you can enjoy.
Please note that those who were registered for handball and futsal in the 1st semester can also re-register for the 2nd semester in the same activity. As usual, we will be holding a 2nd round of registrations, where you will be able to sign up for the places still available from Tuesday 2 January 2025.
We will close registration on Eduka on Sunday 12 January 2025.
All AS will start the week of Monday 20 January 2025 in the slots announced on Eduka. As far as the Elites, ITs, the pre-competition swimming AS and the surfing competition AS are concerned, the list of students will not change and re-registration will be automatic on Eduka..
