Message from the Consulate General of France in Sydney: 2026 School Scholarships
Dear Parents,
We would like to inform LCS families who have recently arrived in the consular district that they may submit an application for a school scholarship as part of the second Consular School Scholarship Committee (CCB2), until 13 September 2026. Families concerned are invited to visit the official website of the Consulate General of France in Sydney, where they will find information about school scholarships and the application process by clicking on the link below.
We encourage families who may be eligible to review the application requirements and complete the necessary steps within the specified timeframe.
Reminder – Canteen Registrations | Semester 1
We have noticed that several canteen registrations have been missed. To ensure that your child’s registration is up to date, we kindly invite you to check their status directly on the EDUKA platform.
For any new semester registration, please contact accounts.ar@condorcet.com.au.
For Secondary students awaiting their final timetable, the last adjustments may be made until 5 September 2026. After this date, no further changes can be accommodated.
Safety and Courtesy Around LCS
Dear LCS community,
Student drop-off and pick-up times are particularly busy around our school. We therefore ask all families to help ensure that these periods remain safe, respectful and calm for everyone.
When driving, parking or stopping near the school, please observe all road rules, even when you are in a hurry, and take particular care around pedestrian crossings, driveways and areas where stopping may obstruct traffic.
We also kindly ask everyone to show patience and courtesy towards other road users, pedestrians and our neighbours, and, where possible, to allow a few extra minutes for your journey: no amount of time saved is worth compromising a child’s safety.
We would also like to highlight the important role adults play in setting an example for children. They observe how we respond to challenging situations and learn from the way we communicate with others.
Keeping children safe around the school is a shared responsibility. We thank everyone for leading by example and adopting behaviours that reflect the values of respect, responsibility and kindness that we promote every day at LCS.
Students: Image rights authorizations – Update before September 1st
The Eduka module used to manage image consent permissions will close on 1 September. Image consent refers to your authorisation for the school to use your child’s image, voice or work. Two separate consent options are available in Eduka:
• General Communications: LCS and AEFE websites and social media platforms, promotional materials and other communication channels.
• Yearbook: photographs, videos, audio recordings and students’ work published in the Yearbook, in print or digital format.
Families wishing to update either of these permissions are invited to do so before 1 September. After this date, any exceptional request for a change during the school year will need to be addressed directly to the relevant school office.
This process will help ensure that we have accurate and up-to-date information throughout the year and will make it easier for our teaching teams to manage these permissions. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
2026 School photos
Dear Parents,
Class photos and individual portraits will take place on Tuesday 8 September for Elementary School, Wednesday 9 September for Secondary School, and Thursday 10 September for Kindergarten.
Further practical information will be shared with you very soon in this newsletter, including the dates and times scheduled for sibling photos.

Pick-up is at 3:15 pm for Preschool and at 3:25 pm for Primary School.

Pick up map | 1st semester
After-School Activities (AES) begin on the first day of school, Wednesday 19 August. AES activities start at 3:45 pm and finish at 5:15 pm. LCS doors close at 5:30 pm.
LCS SPORT
We offer students a wide range of physical and sporting activities in a friendly, motivating environment tailored to each student’s goals. It is also an opportunity to proudly represent LCS in inter-school competitions, whether local, national or international.
Sports Association Registration via Eduka – Don’t Miss Out
• Monday 31 August at 8:00 pm: registration opens for a first activity
• Wednesday 2 September at 8:00 pm: registration for a second activity becomes available (subject to availability)
• Friday 4 September at 8:00 pm: registration closes
No cancelation will be accepted after this date.

University Guidance Information Sessions – Year 10, Year 11/IB1 and Year 12/IB2
This year, the University Guidance team will hold a dedicated information session for each year group on Monday 7 September to present the activities planned for the year ahead, key deadlines and the different forms of support available to students. Times: Year 12/IB2 at 5.30pm, Year 10 at 6pm and Year 11/IB1 at 6.30pm.

All students and their parents are warmly invited to attend the upcoming university visits: University of Nicosia – Medical School, Cyprus: Tuesday 8 September at 5.30pm; University of Arizona, United States: Wednesday 9 September at 2.30pm; University of Miami, United States: Wednesday 16 September at 2.30pm (see flyer); University of Calgary, Canada: Monday 19 October at 2.30pm.
Events outside of school
University of Sydney and UTS Open Days This Weekend
Open Days are a great opportunity to discover universities, explore their campuses and learn more about the courses they offer. They are open to students of all ages, and parents are also very welcome to attend. We encourage you to register online and plan your visit in advance. Both events will begin at 9am, with the University of Sydney Open Day finishing at 4pm and the UTS Open Day at 2pm. University of Sydney Webinar – Studying Law
This webinar will take place on Thursday 27 August at 5pm and will provide an overview of the different pathways to studying law at the University of Sydney, as well as the student experience. Young Changemakers Program – Year 11/IB1 Students Only
The University of Queensland (UQ) is offering students with ambitious ideas and projects the opportunity to take part in an immersive four-day, three-night experience on its campus, from Sunday 29 November to Wednesday 2 December.
