AES: Activities for the April holidays
The April holidays are fast approaching, and if you're looking for a fun activity to do with your children, our instructor Pascale from Et Voilà Studios (AES Painting and Drawing) has created free PDFs for you to download before the weekend. You can paint or color them. Pascale has also prepared easy-to-follow tutorials so you can share a little creative moment as a family… without the chocolate!

Ride 2 school
Last Friday, students, parents, and LCS members were invited to travel to school in an eco-friendly way: by bike, scooter, skateboard, or on foot, to celebrate Ride 2 School day. A great opportunity to promote sustainable mobility while fostering health, well-being, and a sense of community.
Francophone School Dictation 2026: Spelling Challenge
Spelling Challenge: Kudos to our 44 Volunteers!On March 20th, 44 students from Grade 3 to Grade 5 bravely took part in the 2026 Francophone Dictation. This year's challenge, titled "Get out your brushes!", featured unique words from Quebec, Morocco, and the Bresse region.Congratulations to our volunteers for tackling tricky and colorful terms like patarrou (excited), pinotte (peanut), and tajine.To decide the winners, they faced some very challenging tie-breaker words, including:Fuchsia Châssis (frame) Siccatif (drying agent) Acrylique (acrylic) A huge well done to all our participants for their hard work and dedication!

LCS SPORT
Oz Tag 2026 edition
Yesterday, Maroubra Beach hosted the second edition of the Oz Tag Competition, bringing together 11 teams of third grade students in a sporting and joyful atmosphere. Inspired by rugby, OzTag is a non-contact Australian sport that emphasizes speed, agility, and teamwork.
Supervised by Lucas Espil, Laurence Irwin, Pierre-Gerard Boissin, Sophie Scheurer, and Scott Lavaud, the students demonstrated great commitment. Thank you to the parent volunteers for their invaluable help, to our student life team, and congratulations to all the participants!
The dark green team won the competition, followed by fluorescent green and striped blue, while dark blue completed the podium. Special mention goes to the other teams—striped yellow, red, pink, black, no bibs, striped red, light blue, and yellow—for their enthusiasm.
Intense first days of CAPB in Shanghai
In Shanghai, the CAPB is operating at a frenetic pace: more than 850 matches in four days. Yesterday, during the singles tournament, more than half of the team advanced to the round of 16. The final stages will be played Thursday morning. Today, it's the team tournament: three boys and three girls are competing in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.
Tonight, a cruise on the Bund will offer a magical glimpse of Shanghai by night. The students also had the privilege of meeting Brice Leverdez, a former world-class French player, who can be seen on the right in the group photo. The atmosphere is fantastic: strong connections with players from all over the world and, to top it all off, a friendly inter-country tournament where everyone will mingle. A festive and convivial atmosphere is guaranteed.
Departure of the CAPN for Singapore
The CAPN team flew to Singapore at the beginning of the week, where the AEFE Asia-Pacific Swimming Championships (CAPN) are currently taking place. On the agenda: several days of intense racing in a competitive and friendly atmosphere, within the network of French schools in the area.

Lucas Velasque, a former student of the Lycée Français Condorcet, now captain of the Australian national handball team and a student-athlete at UNSW, has been awarded the prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Blues Award. This distinction represents the university’s highest sporting recognition, rewarding exceptional student-athletes who excel simultaneously at the highest sporting and academic levels. (unsw.edu.au). The LCS re-enrollment campaign for the 2026-2027 school year closes tonight at midnight. Many applications have been started but not yet submitted in Eduka. Please ensure you complete this step to confirm your child's re-enrollment or withdrawal from LCS.

UNSW Discovery Days for Year 10 and 11 Students: Interested students can choose one day (Monday 13, Tuesday 14, or Wednesday 15, during the school holidays). This free event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Over 40 interactive workshops are offered. Lunch and live music are included. Register now.

Engineering Skills: How to Start in High School: Johns Hopkins University (USA) is hosting this free webinar on Friday, March 27th at 9:30 AM. It will feature a panel of professional engineers. Register here: registration link.
The AFFELNET Lycée application process for the 2026-2027 academic year will open soon for families wishing to return to France after their child's 9th grade (3ème). Viewing available programs will be possible from April 3rd, and submitting course preferences should take place approximately from May 4th to 25th, depending on the academic calendar. Your child's preferences will be entered into the application by the school.
In parallel, you will need to gather the required documents so that we can forward them to the DSDEN (Departmental Directorate of National Education Services) of the department corresponding to your future residence: proof of residence or professional relocation to France, as well as a photocopy of your family record book, an extract of your date of birth, and a photocopy of your identity document. Placement results will be communicated at the end of June. If a place is offered in a high school, you will then need to confirm your enrollment according to the procedures specified by the receiving school. Please note that admissions to international sections or to the 10th grade with a specific program are subject to a separate recruitment procedure, assessed on a case-by-case basis.
