Primary
Primary Assemblies on 21st and 22nd January.
We started the year with two Primary Assemblies: CP, CE1, and CE2 on Tuesday, followed by CM1 and CM2 on Wednesday. Our principal presented his best wishes to the students, who gathered to welcome their new classmates. It was also a moment to remind everyone of the school's rules and to listen to a "made in primary" podcast, which we will be sharing very soon!
Sport
Maelia, a 6th-grade student in the Tennis Sports Section, on the day of the Todd Woodbridge Cup on November 18th:
"The taxi arrived, and we got in, excited but nervous. 17 other teams were waiting for us, and we warmed up on a tennis court while waiting for the coaches. They explained the rules to us and introduced a professional tennis player named Casey Dellacqua, who gave us tips and encouraged us."
"Then we started the matches. We found out that we had finished first in our group with 3 victories. Unfortunately, we lost by 2 points in the quarter-finals, against the finalist team. However, this is still a great achievement: winning the qualifiers in Maroubra and then participating in the final stages of New South Wales. We returned exhausted but happy after a long day of tennis."

“During the week of November 25th, the tennis sports section participated in an inter-school tournament at Pennant Hills and Parramatta. 17 students from LCS played a total of 38 singles matches, 12 doubles matches, and 12 team encounters. On Monday, those who were playing left for the tournament by taxi, and upon arrival, we warmed up before the match announcements. Those not playing went to cheer for their teammates, and there was a great atmosphere. On Wednesday, all the players came for the team encounters. Each match consisted of two singles matches and one doubles match. The pair that won the majority of the matches won the encounter. On Thursday, only the players who had qualified in singles returned, and we had 4 semi-finalists in the consolation bracket, one winner in the consolation bracket, as well as a quarter-finalist and a semi-finalist in the main draw. On Friday, we left Maroubra even earlier than the other days, at 6:30 AM. One of our doubles pairs came in second place, and the other reached the semi-finals!!! It was a very busy week, both from a sporting and social perspective. We had a lot of fun and shared many good moments. We would like to thank Mrs. Condet and the accompanying staff, and we look forward to participating again next year.”

Engaged Comic Strip Contest: Defend the Environment through Illustrations.
As part of the exhibition dedicated to the comic strip A world with no end, Lycée Condorcet Sydney is organising a major engaged comic strip contest open to all primary and secondary students.
Your mission:
Create an original comic strip illustrating one or more Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Engaged message: Call to action, critique, denunciation, or inspiring vision.
- Artistic medium: Hand-drawn illustrations, A4 or A3 format (your choice).
Important Dates:
- Registration: Closed.
- Submission of works: Submit your final comic strips by January 30, 2025.
Selection Criteria:
- Relevance to the theme (SDGs and environment).
- Originality and creativity of the storyline.
- Artistic quality and clarity of the message.
Prizes:
The best creations will be displayed and rewarded at the closing of the exhibition week.

Enrichment Activities
The first Summer Academy of the Said Business School at Oxford:
The program focuses on leadership development and the experience of university life at Oxford. The lectures will cover essential skills such as storytelling, public speaking, leadership, AI, entrepreneurship, innovation, and social impact, all led by renowned professors.
At the end, participants will receive a certificate from the University of Oxford confirming their learning. This program is intended for students aged 16 to 18 years, from July 8th to 19th, at a cost of £8,750.

Summer programs at international universities.
Summer programs (July-August) are a great opportunity for students to explore fields of study that interest them at universities where they may apply. All American universities offer these courses, with varying durations, dates, and costs. Some Canadian universities, such as the University of British Columbia (UBC), also offer these programs.

Parcoursup 2025 Calendar
- From Wednesday, January 15 to Thursday, March 13, 2025 — Registration on Parcoursup to create the candidate's file. You can make up to 10 choices, without having to rank them by preference. For certain courses, it will also be possible to make sub-choices.
- Thursday, March 13, 2025 — Last day to make choices.
- Wednesday, April 2, 2025 — Last day to complete the file and confirm choices.
- Monday, June 2, 2025 — Start of the main admission phase. New: Between Friday, June 6 and Tuesday, June 10, 2025: rank waiting list choices.
- Wednesday, June 11, 2025 — Start of the complementary phase: possibility to make up to 10 new choices for courses with available places.

The calendar for international, oriental, and binational sections is changing this year. Applications for this session must be submitted on the dedicated platform before March 2, 2025. The specific programs offered in the Paris Academy are: international, oriental, and binational sections, artistic tracks (music/dance/theatre) and elite sports, technological series S2TMD, STD2A, and STHR, SciencesPo and SciencesCo classes at Henri Bergson high school, the High Potential Student program at Émile Dubois high school, as well as the Louis le Grand and Henri IV high schools for students not residing or enrolled in 9th grade in Paris. Aeronautics and Aerospace Initiation Certificate.
If your child is interested in training in aeronautics and aerospace, wants to develop their curiosity for mathematics and sciences, or wishes to stand out during the PARCOURSUP process, they have the opportunity to take the BIA (Brevet d'Initiation Aéronautique) starting from 9th grade as an independent candidate or through a preparatory program. Students of Year 10:
Specialized Subjects Week on the Agora Forum from Monday, January 27 to Sunday, February 2. On the AGORA Monde forum, 10th grade students from the network will be able to exchange throughout the week with 11th and 12th graders, alumni, and teachers about specialized subjects by asking questions about the content of the subjects, the skills developed, possible combinations, and links to higher education. What an incredible vacation care program we had! Over the past 2 weeks, our service was buzzing with excitement, creativity, and adventure. Here’s a snapshot of the amazing time we had together.
Program Highlights:
- Go Yoga-migos: We twisted, bent, and stretched our way into becoming mini yogi masters, feeling energized and calm.
- Mufasa: The Lion King Movie Day: A magical movie experience where we learned about courage and family.
- Mobile Butterfly Enclosure: Hearts fluttered as we got up close with graceful butterflies, creating memories to cherish.
- Superbowl Bowling: Pins were flying everywhere during our friendly competition—it was truly striking fun!
- Incredi-Bubble Festival: Giant bubbles filled the air as we explored the magical world of bubbles in all shapes and sizes.
- Water Mania: A splash-tastic day full of thrilling water games that kept us cool and laughing.
- Chau Chak Wing Museum Excursion: Budding historians and curators among us uncovered fascinating stories and artifacts.
- Funk & Groove Party: We danced our hearts out in a burst of color, music, and non-stop grooving.
- Paddington in Peru Movie Day: A cinematic journey through the Amazon kept everyone on the edge of their seats.
- Fête de la construction : Nos bâtisseurs en herbe ont brillé en créant des bricolages et des jeux inspirés de l’univers de la construction.
Bonus Fun Every Day: Each day brought extra surprises! From intense games of soccer and ping pong to fort building adventures and creative crafts like scratch art, origami, and painting, there was never a dull moment. Musical statues had everyone laughing and moving, somehow turning into a mini choir session, and our children’s imaginative play added another layer of excitement to every day.
We’re so proud of the positive energy, teamwork, and creativity that each child brought to the program. Thank you for sharing this fantastic time with us! We can’t wait to see everyone again for more adventures.
