Message from the principal

Dear parents, students and members of the LCS community,

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I address you for the first time as the new Principal of Lycée Condorcet de Sydney.

Having previously served as Deputy Principal at Lycée Jean-Mermoz in Dakar, I am delighted and honoured to join a school renowned for the quality of its education, its international outlook and its dynamic community. I would also like to acknowledge the remarkable work of my predecessors and of all our staff, whose commitment continues to shape and strengthen LCS.

Over the past few weeks, our teams have been fully engaged in preparing for the new school year. Significant maintenance and improvement works have been carried out to provide our students with a welcoming, functional environment that supports learning. We have also strengthened our teams to accommodate our growing student population — a reflection of the trust families continue to place in Lycée Condorcet de Sydney.

I would like to warmly thank all our staff for their dedication and energy. Thanks to this collective effort, we begin the new school year with confidence, ambition and determination.

To our students, I wish you a year filled with curiosity, ambition and wonderful discoveries. To our parents, I want to emphasise how important our partnership with families will be. Together, we will strive to build relationships based on listening, dialogue and trust, with the success and wellbeing of every student at the heart of what we do.

This new school year marks the beginning of a new chapter for our school, and I look forward to writing it together with you.

I look forward to meeting you in the coming weeks and wish you all an excellent start to the school year and a wonderful year ahead.

See you very soon at Lycée Condorcet

INFO LCS & PARENTS MEETING

Message from the Consulate General of France in Sydney: 2026 School Scholarships

Dear Parents,

We would like to inform LCS families who have recently arrived in the consular district that they may submit an application for a school scholarship as part of the second Consular School Scholarship Committee (CCB2), until 13 September 2026. Families concerned are invited to visit the official website of the Consulate General of France in Sydney, where they will find information about school scholarships and the application process by clicking on the link below.

We encourage families who may be eligible to review the application requirements and complete the necessary steps within the specified timeframe.

2026 Non-Government Schools Census and NCCD

Each year, all non-government schools receiving recurrent funding from the Australian Government are required to participate in the Non-Government Schools Census. The Census collects information about students and staff members, including year level, attendance, certain student and staff characteristics, visa status, and information about students receiving adjustments due to disability. The names of students and staff members are not provided as part of the Census, with the exception of the person nominated as the school’s designated contact.

The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) is an integral part of this annual Census. The NCCD collects de-identified information about students who receive reasonable adjustments due to disability, including the broad category of disability and the level of adjustment provided. This data helps governments and schools better understand the needs of students with disability and respond to them appropriately. It also contributes to determining Australian Government funding for schools.

Under Australian federal education legislation, the school is required to provide this information. Consent from parents or legal guardians is not required. However, the school is committed to keeping families fully informed and ensuring the protection of students’ personal information. Further information is available in the attached documents: the 2026 Census and Special Circumstances Applications – Collection and Privacy Notice; and the NCCD Information Notice for Parents, Guardians and Carers.

No action is required from families. If you have any questions, please contact Rosa Rusnak, Compliance Manager: [rosa.rusnak@condorcet.com.au](mailto:rosa.rusnak@condorcet.com.au).
