HEADLINE

Join Us for an Exclusive Evening with Dr Justin Coulson

At LCS, we are committed to equipping our students—and our community—with the best tools to navigate today’s challenges. Parenting in the modern world is no easy task, and we know from our recent survey that many parents are eager to gain expert insights on how to best support their children’s wellbeing.

This is why we are delighted to welcome Dr Justin Coulson, one of Australia’s most trusted parenting experts, for an exclusive evening dedicated to understanding the teen brain, fostering resilience, and keeping our children safe.

Over the past decade, Dr Coulson has helped countless families through his nine best-selling books, hundreds of media appearances, and deep expertise in psychology. Holding a PhD from the University of Wollongong, he is the co-host and parenting expert on Channel 9’s Parental Guidance, the founder of HappyFamilies.com.au, and co-host of The Happy Families Podcast with his wife, Kylie. Together, they have raised six daughters and one granddaughter—bringing both professional and personal experience to the conversation.

This evening will feature two thought-provoking sessions: Session 1 |Boys, Girls, Brains, and Behaviour (For Parents) : Discover how boys and girls learn, grow, and behave differently—and what it means for parenting and education. Session 2 | 7:30 – 9:00 PM, Sex, Consent, and Staying Safe (For Parents) A crucial discussion on consent, boundaries, and navigating a world that requires our children to be informed, empowered, and safe.

Reserve your spot!
Due to high demand, we ask that you reserve a maximum of two spots per household. LCS will offer childcare for children ages 6 to 12, but spaces are limited—please indicate your needs when registering.

LCS Info & Parents Meetings

LCS is committed to fighting food waste with OzHarvest!

On April 10, 2025, we will have the pleasure of welcoming OzHarvest for a special presentation with CE1 and CE2 students. This 40-minute interactive presentation will raise awareness among our young people about the importance of fighting food waste and give them the keys to becoming agents of change.

In exchange for this free service, OzHarvest is inviting us to organize a non-perishable food drive in our community. From April 1st to 10th, we encourage all LCS families to participate by dropping off essential food items (pasta, rice, canned goods, cereal, etc.) at the school's collection points.

🌱 How to participate?

  • Bring non-perishable food items between April 1 and 10.
  • Drop off your donations in the collection bins available at the school.
  • Encourage your children to adopt small daily actions against waste!

Nous comptons sur votre mobilisation pour faire de cette action une réussite ! Un grand merci pour votre soutien et votre engagement 🌍💛

📢 Restez connectés ! Nous partagerons le bilan de la collecte et des photos de l’événement.

2025-2026 Re-enrolment Campaign:

The LCS 2025-2026 re-enrolment campaign will take place from March 26th to April 11th.

You will receive an email on March 26th inviting you to notify us whether you wish to continue your child’s schooling at LCS or not via the Eduka parent portal.

This is essential and necessary to update your personal data (addresses, passport, visa…) to allow us to work on the 2025-2026 school structure so that your child will be in the class composition.

🎤🎶💃 Venez Voir le Talent Show du CM1 à la Terminale !

The charades from CE1C

The CE1C students recently discovered the joy of playing with words by learning to create charades! Through this fun activity, they were able to develop several essential skills:

Understanding and manipulating language
They learned to segment words into syllables and identify their meanings.

Develop their creativity
They invented fun puzzles adapted to their level.

Strengthen their oral and written expression
They formulated clear and precise clues to help others solve their charades.

Cooperate and exchange
They worked together to refine their riddles and share their ideas.

Nos élèves sont ravis de partager leurs charades avec toute l’école. Saurez-vous les résoudre ? 🧩

Happy reading and good thinking: charades via PDF.

The Children of Asia Foundation had already been highlighted during a bake sale. Building on this first initiative, the students are back with several actions to raise funds and support the orphans of Mondulkiri, Cambodia.Their commitment not only provides valuable assistance to these children, but also raises awareness in the school community about the challenges of international solidarity.

Beyond enriching the students’ educational journey, this initiative helps improve the living conditions of the children and stands as a powerful act of solidarity. It also strengthens the connection between the school’s various student bodies and the IB students’ projects, fostering a committed and collaborative dynamic.
