PRIMARY

A Spectacular End to the School Year

The Primary School end-of-year performances have begun! From Preschool to Year 5, our students are taking to the stage with enthusiasm to share the results of their hard work with their families.

Today, farm animals took centre stage in a delightful performance filled with charm and creativity. Tomorrow, it will be the turn of the much-anticipated Grand Cabaret presented by our multi-age classes. As for the rest of the programme… we still have a few surprises in store!

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents for their support and encouragement. Congratulations as well to our teachers and teaching assistants, whose creativity, dedication, and commitment make these wonderful moments possible.

SECONDARY

Celebrating the Values of LCS

Last week, Middle School and High School students were recognized during the annual Awards ceremonies. These awards celebrate essential qualities such as curiosity, perseverance, commitment, and a positive attitude.

Through these distinctions, we aim to highlight the attitudes and efforts that contribute to our students’ success and personal growth, well beyond academic achievement.

Congratulations to all the students who received awards for their dedication and exemplary spirit.

The Monsters Are Invading the Library

Students in Year 5 recently let their imagination run wild in Visual Arts class by creating remarkable ceramic monsters. Made using the “pinch pot” technique, these original creations showcase their creativity, attention to detail, and unique artistic vision.

Now on display in the library, these amusing and unusual characters have quietly taken up residence among the books. Students are invited to explore this gallery of monsters and hunt for their hiding places.

Parents and families can also admire these creations through photos on our Instagram page and celebrate the talent of our young artists.

LCS Badminton Tournament – Years 4, 5 and 6

On the evening of 15 June, students from Years 4, 5 and 6 took part in a badminton tournament held in a fantastic atmosphere, combining friendly competition with great sportsmanship. The standard of play was impressive for primary and lower secondary students, highlighting their commitment, enthusiasm and developing technical skills.

This initiative provided a great way to end the school year on a positive and sporting note. Next year, a badminton session will be offered as part of the School Sports Association (AS), along with additional singles and doubles tournaments, encouraging students to become even more involved in the sport. Congratulations to all the players for their excellent participation!

End-of-Year Handball Tournament for Year 6 and Year 5 Students

On Tuesday 16 June, Year 6 and Year 7 students took part in the end-of-year handball tournament in an atmosphere that was both competitive and friendly.

Throughout the competition, the teams demonstrated excellent skills, both in terms of technique and in their teamwork and sportsmanship. The tournament featured a mix of official matches that counted towards the final standings and friendly games, allowing teams to be reshuffled and encouraging interaction and camaraderie among students.

A big thank you to Adi Moh Hamin for his invaluable assistance with refereeing and organising the tournament, as well as to Lucas Velasque, a member of the national handball team, for spending time with the students. He took part in several friendly matches before presenting the medals during the closing ceremony.

Congratulations to the CKRRIS team, who won the gold medal ahead of the Mighty Salads – with a little mayo on the side. Well done to all participants for their commitment, enthusiasm, and the high standard of play displayed throughout the tournament.
