Dear Members of Lycée Condorcet,
You are warmly invited to the Annual General Meeting to be held on Thursday 14 November 2024, from 6.00pm..
Please see the attached Notice as well as the Nomination Form for election to the Board.
We will again be using the Vero Voting platform to run the meeting, send messages, and provide electronic voting. AGM registration through Vero Voting will open in late October and you will be able to register your intent to attend the meeting virtually or face-to-face. You can also submit a Voting/Proxy Form (which will be available after Nominations are closed at the end of October, as well as ask questions to be put to the meeting.
Nominations:
Nominations to the Board must be sent to jan.rashbrook@condorcet.com.au by 5.00pm Friday 25 October 2024. Please refer to the Nomination Form for details.
Votes by proxy:
If you appoint a proxy, the Proxy Form can be completed through the Vero Voting platform or sent to jan.rashbrook@condorcet.com.au by 5.00pm Tuesday 12 November 2024.
Voting:
Electronic voting will be first preference (or first=past=the-post) this year. This means you vote for one person only, your first preference. The person with the most votes will be elected. Again, details will be available on the voting platform.

Notice of Departure – Final Reminder.
In the event of a potential departure from the institution, a notice period of 6 weeks must be observed before the last day of class, which is Monday, November 11, to avoid a deduction of $250. The departure form should be completed on Eduka via the departure module.

Reminder About Pick-Ups During AES
To ensure the smooth running of activities, we kindly ask you to pick up your child either at the classroom exit or at the end of AES at 5:15 PM. This helps us ensure a seamless and pleasant departure experience for all students.

Digital Citizenship Week at Lycée Condorcet Sydney
From October 28 to November 1, Lycée Condorcet Sydney is hosting Digital Citizenship Week. This event aims to raise awareness within the school community about the risks associated with screen usage and to promote healthy and responsible use of digital technologies.
Online Webinars for parents
Parents are warmly invited to participate in two online webinars taking place on October 29 and 30 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. These sessions are designed to help families navigate the current digital landscape.
- October 29th : Maternelles to CM2 – Discussion on digital education, focusing on safety and screen time.
- October 30th : Y6 to Y12 – Topic covered: digital education, focusing on how to regulate and respond to digital challenges.
These workshops will undoubtedly provide parents with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of practical tools, enabling them to better support their children in navigating the challenges of an increasingly complex digital environment. They will cover essential topics such as online safety, screen time management, and digital learning strategies.

Primary
Discovering ice skating.
Patrice Possenti, the Director of the primary school, and Hugues Deraps, a parent, presented the ice skating activity scheduled for October and November for all CE2 students. With nearly thirty years of experience in figure skating, Patrice combined his expertise with that of Hugues, a hockey enthusiast, to share their passion for this discipline with the LCS students, who will have the opportunity to discover it over the next two months.
Secondary
Rugby in Fiji
After organising two bake sales, buying school supplies, and preparing bags, our rugby players flew to Fiji to face teams from two local schools: Saint Peter Chanel School and Ratu Filisie Memorial School.
They were warmly welcomed by the students and teachers and had the pleasure of distributing the bags and rugby equipment donated by their club, the Clovelly Eagles. Our 6th-grade students, accompanied by their teammates, showcased their talent and energy on the field, but the trophy will stay in Fiji this time.
This experience was unforgettable for everyone, both in terms of sports and personal connections.
Assemblée des Délégués du Secondaire
Gabriel and Antoine have been elected to the school council, while Charlotte has been chosen as the vice-president of the CVL. Congratulations, young citizens!
Following the votes, the delegates decided to launch an initiative for Pink October. They will wear pink on October 30 at LCS and sell ribbons to raise funds for the breast cancer awareness association, counting on your support.

Registrations are open for the PROZAP football and rugby tournaments!
This week, we launched registrations for the PROZAP football and rugby tournaments, which will take place in April 2025.
These tournaments are incredible opportunities for our students to proudly represent the Lycée on an international scale. We strongly encourage you to register your children and share this information to increase participation.

EDHEC Business School Webinar
This date has now changed due to parent teacher meetings: for all interested students and parents - this will be held at school on Thursday 31 October at 5.30pm.
Career Assessment Opportunity - Seconde students
This is being offered to all seconde students for the first time this year! A letter has been sent to all seconde students with information about the process. If any student in Premiere/IB1 wishes to participate please contact Mme Salier. An introductory zoom meeting will be held on Monday 21 October at 6pm.

Enrichment Activities
IE University Spain Junior Advisory Board Opportunity
Through interactive workshops, hands-on projects, and dynamic discussions, students will explore sustainable design principles and learn how to apply them to real-world challenges. Participants will collaborate to create innovative solutions that promote environmental stewardship and social impact, gaining insights from leading experts. This opportunity is for Premiere students only and is held at IE campus early April. Successful applicants will pay NO cost for this experience with students from all over the world! Discover a post-bac program
Integrated preparatory classes for engineering schools.
Some engineering schools offer admissions directly after the baccalaureate through competitions such as Geipi Polytech, Avenir, Puissance Alpha, or the concours Advance. The programs typically last five years, with two years of core curriculum and three years of specialisation.
School networks like INSA also offer integrated programs, allowing students to pursue an engineering degree without going through traditional preparatory classes. These programs are accessible directly after the baccalaureate through an application process or via lateral admissions after completing a bachelor's degree.
ECO LCS
Primary School Eco-Delegates Meeting
The first meeting of the primary school eco-delegates took place on Thursday, October 3. Led by Sandrine de Coetlogon, with the presence of our principal Patrice, this session allowed each elected student to introduce themselves and share their motivations.
Already, many ideas and upcoming projects have been put forward.
Ride2School results
The last event Ride2School was a great success with 630 participants ! Thank you to all the students and parents who helped make this day a wonderful celebration of active and eco-friendly transportation. We hope to see even more cyclists and pedestrians at the next events!
TEAMKIDS
TeamKids - Info
The holiday care period was filled with a variety of activities.
We received positive feedback and are open to any suggestions regarding meals, activities, or the daily routine to better meet the children's needs.
This term, we will offer more diverse activities for all ages. The proposed themes include musical theatre and sustainability.
We are also considering introducing daily clubs (LEGO, Art, STEM, Musical Theatre, Sustainability) without the need for reservations. More information about these clubs will be shared soon.
For any questions or suggestions, Puy, our on-site director, and Julia, our program manager, are available to assist you.
Finally, events such as the Gingerbread village competition and the world teachers day will take place this term.
