Dear LCS community,
The French School of Shanghai kicked off the CAPN 2024 at the beginning of the week.
Students were welcomed with an opening ceremony, marking the start of this highly anticipated competition. Before diving into the aquatic arena, teams had the opportunity to introduce themselves, thereby reinforcing team spirit and camaraderie.
This major event would not have been possible without the tremendous support of the teachers, who accompanied the students throughout their preparation. Their dedication and commitment were essential in creating an environment conducive to the success and fulfilment of the participants.
Currently, our LCS swimmers proudly lead the pack among other schools in the Asia-Pacific region, but the competition continues for another 3 days! We wish them good luck and eagerly follow their performances!
We will keep you informed of the final results, so stay tuned!
Kind regards,
Nicolas L’Hotellier,
Principal

Max Ducos at LCS
Max Ducos, French author and artist, was the guest of honour at Lycée Condorcet de Sydney (LCS) this week for a series of interactive events. Last Friday and this morning, families had the opportunity to meet Max Ducos during a book signing session.
Through the reading of his captivating books, Max has managed to capture the imagination of young readers, transporting them to extraordinary worlds where adventure and discovery await.
Beyond just reading, students also had the opportunity to interact with Max Ducos, asking questions about his creative process, inspirations, and artistic journey.
We thank Max Ducos for sharing his art with the younger generations.

Student Life Councils of French establishments in the Asia-Pacific region
On Monday, March 25th and Tuesday, March 26th, the vice-president students of the Student Life Councils from French establishments in the Asia-Pacific region gathered in Bangkok.
Their objective was to collaborate on a common project aimed at boosting citizen engagement initiatives within their establishments while strengthening ties between them. Various projects were presented, and the students voted to support the association "Enfants d'Asie," particularly one of their schools located in the province of Mondulkiri, Cambodia.
Fundraising campaigns will be conducted by all French schools in the area to finance the construction of a kitchen at a total cost of $6,800.
We will keep you regularly informed about the progress of this project, and you will have the opportunity to participate in various fundraising events scheduled for next year.
Congratulations to the CVL students for their civic engagement in serving the community and, more broadly, vulnerable populations.
