🎭 First end-of-year shows in Primary 🎉

Last week, the multi-level classes opened the performance season with Le Cirque de Pander, a colorful show combining music, dance, and physical expression.

The MS, CP and CE2 students then took over with their own creations, prepared with enthusiasm throughout the term.

Congratulations to all the students for their commitment on stage, and thank you to the teachers for their support and creativity!

Kapla Exhibition: A Journey Through Time in CE1

As every year, the Kapla exhibition amazed young and old alike with the beauty, ingenuity, and precision of the constructions. This time, the CE1 students took us on a true journey through the ages, inspired by the album The Time-Traveling Wolf.

For several weeks, the four CE1 classes worked with Amélie to transform their reading into real three-dimensional models. Each historical period traversed by the famous wolf was brought to life thanks to the Kapla: dinosaurs, castles, Renaissance scenes, space launch towers... nothing was forgotten!

Beyond the artistic aspect, this project allowed the students to develop numerous skills: spatial awareness, construction, collective thinking, and, above all, cooperation. Everyone found their place in this great creative adventure.

And the highlight of the show? The students had the joy of dismantling their works themselves, in a moment of great laughter and camaraderie!

A successful exhibition, rich in discoveries, sharing, and collective pride. Congratulations to our budding architects!

SECONDARY

Participation of our final year students in an inter-school debate at Waverley College

On Wednesday, May 8, our final year students Amélie, Orson, Maïa and Éloïse had the opportunity to go to Waverley College to participate in a formal debate; a first-ever interschool verbal jousting event.

Accompanied by their teacher, Mrs. Cornish, the students demonstrated remarkable motivation, courage, and enthusiasm. We are extremely proud of the way they represented our school.

Many thanks to Waverley College for organizing this enriching and valuable experience.

The 2025 Historical Youth Novel Prize

The 9th grade students participated in the 2025 Youth Historical Novel Prize, organized by the PRHJ 41 association. It was a unique opportunity for them to discover a variety of captivating stories set in fascinating historical periods. This year, four novels were in the running for the 9th / 10th grade level:

  • Cathy Ytak. Têtes hautes. Talents Hauts
  • Régis Delpeuch. Les 4051 de Pitchipoï. Scrinéo Destinées
  • Pascal Ruter. Les Papillons bleus (t.1)   1940-1942. Romans Didier Jeunesse
  • Laurine Roux. Le souffle du Puma. L’Ecole des Loisirs

The winner at the Lycée Condorcet with 22 votes is:
Pascal Ruter. Les Papillons bleus(t.1): 1940-1942. Novels by Didier Jeunesse

We are waiting for the national result which should not be long in coming.

The students had the opportunity to explore different worlds through the pages of these novels, immerse themselves in authentic settings, and connect with characters brought to life through the authors' writing. Reading these historical novels allowed them to escape into the past, relive major events, and develop their understanding of different eras. They were able to learn about the customs, mentalities, and challenges faced by past societies. Participating as readers in this award sparked their curiosity and fueled their interest in history, while enriching their imagination and vocabulary. We look forward to hearing the results of the votes!

A thrilling adventure for our 3rd grade students through the pages of historical novels!

Books for Mayotte

We would like to express our deep gratitude to Sifa Australia, whose logistical support was instrumental in bringing resources to the island, enabling Mahoran students to reconnect with reading, culture and knowledge!

Sydney Water Incursion – Aqua Allies Workshop

Yesterday, our Year 3 (CE2) students took part in an engaging Aqua Allies workshop presented by Sydney Water. The one-hour session, held in the canteen, helped students understand the continuous water cycle and the importance of protecting our oceans and waterways.

Through interactive activities and lively discussions, students explored practical ways to preserve water – our most precious resource. The workshop supported our science and sustainability learning goals and encouraged students to think about their impact on the environment.

A big thank-you to Sydney Water for delivering such an informative and inspiring session.
