REMINDER / MESSAGE FROM LCS BOARD

LCS board recently ran a successful process and appointed a board member with deep financial expertise.

Following this successful appointment; as part of our ongoing commitment to strong governance and the long-term development of Lycée Condorcet, a not-for-profit organisation, the Board of Directors is seeking to further broaden its pool of expertise by welcoming parents to apply to join the board. This appointment will ideally chair the audit & risk management board sub-committee as well. We are looking for candidates with experience in risk management and compliance.

This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the life of our school and engage closely with its community. Interested parents are invited to submit a short résumé along with a brief paragraph outlining how their professional experience could support the Board’s work.

Applications should be submitted by 10 June 2026. Selected applicants will be invited to interview in the coming weeks.

Please send your documents to the Board Secretary at the following address: jan.rashbrook@condorcet.com.au.

For any questions regarding this process, please contact the same email address.

SECONDARY

LCS Students Shine at Nuit du Code

After several hours of problem-solving, coding, and creativity, our students successfully rose to the challenge of the Nuit du Code. The games they created reflect remarkable dedication, great imagination, and strong technical skills.

The results are particularly impressive: each team developed an original world, tackled complex challenges, and delivered a unique gaming experience. In a limited amount of time, our young developers created projects they can be truly proud of.

Beyond the quality of the games created, this experience gave students the opportunity to work as a team, solve problems, and bring their ideas to life through programming. Their enthusiasm, perseverance, and adaptability deserve special recognition.

Nous vous invitons à découvrir et à tester les jeux réalisés. N’hésitez pas à explorer les différents univers imaginés par nos élèves et à partager vos impressions en cliquant sur ce lien.

Congratulations to all the participants on this outstanding achievement. They can be proud of the work they have accomplished and the creations they are showcasing today.

Albert BOSSY, Mathematics and Computer Science Teacher / Professeur de mathématiques et de NSI

A Remarkable Success at the Mathematics Olympiad

Last March, eleven of our Year 8 students (4e) took part in the Mathematics Olympiad as a team. This national competition challenges participants’ logical thinking, initiative, and problem-solving skills.

Over the course of two hours, students must solve four problems and present their solutions as rigorously and formally as possible. The papers are then marked and ranked across the Asia-Pacific region. The highest-ranked entry is selected to compete in the AEFE global rankings.

This exceptional achievement was warmly celebrated by their classmates during the prize-giving ceremony. We are extremely proud of their success and look forward to following the next steps in their journey.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to these three students on this magnificent achievement.

Anne Wolkowitsch, Mathematics Teacher – Year 8 (4e)

LCS SPORT

Our Students Compete in the AICES Rugby Championships

Last Wednesday, Hugo, Stéphane, and Augustin proudly represented LCS and CDSSA at the AICES Rugby Championships.

Facing strong opposition from highly skilled teams, they competed in demanding matches throughout the day.

Despite recording three losses and one draw, this first participation provided them with a valuable learning experience and the opportunity to compete at a high level.

We congratulate them on their commitment, perseverance, and the excellent sportsmanship they demonstrated throughout the day.

EFE3D ET LCS ÉCO COMITÉ

Last Ride to School Day of the School Year

Dear all,

Thank you to everyone who took part in our final Ride to School Day of the 2025–2026 school year.

According to the data collected on Friday, we saved 22.68 kg of CO₂. It may seem like a modest contribution, but every effort counts, and as the saying goes, many small streams make a mighty river.

I would like to thank you for warmly acknowledging your eco-delegates for their enthusiasm and support, as well as all your students for their participation.

I also encourage ocean lovers to explore this website. You will find a wide range of free resources suitable for students from preschool through to middle school.

Wishing you all a wonderful day,

Sandrine de Coetlogon, Year 5 (CM2B) Teacher
Coordinator for the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Program – Primary School
