Census Day at LCS – Monday, March 11, 2024

The Australian government has determined that the census day for Lycée Condorcet Sydney is on Monday, March 11, 2024.

On this day, all students must attend school, and any student absence must be justified by a valid reason.

Valid reasons for absence include, but are not limited to:

  • Being sick or suffering from an infectious illness.
  • having an unavoidable medical appointment
  • Obligation to attend a recognised religious festival.
  • exceptional or urgent family circumstance (eg attending a funeral)

Regular school attendance is crucial for your child to achieve the highest level of education and increase their career and life opportunities. Please find more information about Census Day through this link: https://schools.education.gov.au/SchoolsHub/articlehelp/?subjectid=79c04307-0ffc-e811-9158-02720401ef44

  • What time? 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm

This training is an excellent opportunity for kids to discover handball – a sport that will be proudly represented by France and Australia at the 2032 Brisbane Olympics, all within a secure and enjoyable environment.

If your child is interested and would like to participate in a trial session, please don't hesitate to contact Silke Mirande at the following email address: silke.mirande@condorcet.com.au

We hope that many of you will respond to this call.

Wanted - AES

We're looking for people to run AES (extracurricular activities) for students from Grande Section upwards for the first semester of next school year starting in August.
Activities take place every day from 3.45pm to 5.15pm.

We would be delighted to consider any suggestions you may have. In order to increase our range of sports activities to meet your expectations, we are particularly looking for sports instructors.
Each group, led by an intervener, is made up of a maximum of 10 students for GS only, or 12 students for multi-levels.
Each session is paid at 104 dollars (before deduction of charges).

Please contact the AES department at aes@condorcet.com.au if you are interested in running one or more AES, or if you know someone who is.

Call for Applications: Host Families

Are you interested in hosting an international student? Are you an English-speaking family looking to broaden your cultural horizons by interacting with young students?

As you may know, LCS is delighted to regularly welcome foreign students without their families, enriching our community and providing exceptional opportunities for these students. The agencies we collaborate with are constantly seeking host families, involving the accommodation of a student from 10th to 12th grade for a minimum period of one year. LCS is, of course, not directly involved in the process or acting as an intermediary, but you can contact these two companies directly.
