Dear LCS community,
Yesterday, the primary school students participated in a unique flashmob titled "Dance the Games!". This event is part of the preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Under the direction of Mourad Merzouki and labeled as a Cultural Olympiad, the collective choreography was performed in the Asia-Pacific Zone, with all the students dancing to the original music created by Müller & Makaroff (Gotan Project).
The five-minute performance allowed the students to express themselves freely while adhering to the criteria established by the educational project "Dance of the Games | Generation 2024."
Congratulations to them!

"Raise your voice" final - AFFEBS
On Thursday, May 30, the inter-school final of the AAFEBS reading aloud competition, titled 'Raise Your Voice!', took place.
Around sixty classes, from year 1 to 12, registered to share and promote the French language through texts chosen by the students from Francophone literature. Works by Daniel Pennac, Guy de Maupassant, Victor Hugo, Marie Desplechin, Laurent Gaudé, Marie-Aude Murail, among others, echoed through the halls of Killarney Heights, Caulfield Junior College, Telopea Park School, Taren Point, the Lycée Condorcet in Sydney, and Tingalpa State School.
It was a beautiful moment of reading and interpretation, with texts that moved us, made us laugh, and attentive readers dedicated to bringing their readings to life through voice, expression, and body language.
Thanks to AAFEBS, whose very existence allows French-English bilingual schools to connect and exchange, especially during its annual conference.
Un immense merci et bravo aux enseignants et enseignantes qui ont accompagné leurs élèves dans la préparation de cet événement.
Here are the winners of this very successful first edition!

Les Mots en Or final
We would like to thank our 7 Year 8s, Mathieu, Alexis, Mael, Gaia, Ashmore, Clément and Margaux, who reached the final of the 'Les Mots en Or' competition and represented the LCS on Thursday May 31, 2024.
We congratulate them on their hard work and perseverance in overcoming the hurdles of qualifying, the semi-final and reaching the final.
Throughout the competition, they were enthusiastic, supportive, creative and committed, always respecting each other in a spirit of good humor and sharing. Even if the jury chose the team from Groupe Scolaire Jaylan in Morocco to be the 4th level winner of this 2024 edition, we've all learned from it!
We can't wait to see our students (from Y6 to Y10) again next year for the 6th edition of Des Mots en Or, with its theme of gastronomy!
