Dear LCS community,
We understand how important it is to come together as a community, especially at the beginning of the school year. Following the success of the first edition, it is with great pleasure that LCS and the Parents & Friends association invite you to a welcome cocktail on Thursday, September 26. This event, which will take place in our beautiful courtyard with a "guinguette" ambiance, will be an opportunity to celebrate the start of a new school year together and to welcome the families who have recently joined us.
Childcare services will be available that evening. If you would like to take advantage of this, we encourage you to register your children before September 17.

The school scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year has been launched.
This concerns:
– first-time applications from families who moved to Australia after February 23, 2024.
– revision requests (for example, due to a change in family or professional circumstances).

Thank you for ensuring that the Maternelle students come dressed in their school uniform on that day.
For Elementary and Secondary students, it is highly recommended to wear a light or pastel-colored top and dark bottoms to achieve more harmonious photos.

Sibling photos will be taken on the first-floor of the gymnasium in the new building according to the provided schedule. Please enter through the main entrance on Moverly Road and accompany your children to, during, and from the photo session.
Only secondary school students are allowed to stay unsupervised. However, they will not be permitted to supervise their siblings who are in primary school during the photo session without the presence of an adult.
Online lecture with Nicolas Pagnol – Organised by the Alliance Française
The Alliance Française of Sydney is organising an online lecture with Nicolas Pagnol, grandson of Marcel Pagnol, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the passing of this renowned author and filmmaker.
During this live event connecting Sydney and Aubagne, Nicolas Pagnol will share untold stories about his grandfather and discuss his literary and cinematic works. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about one of the great figures of French culture.

This year's wellbeing and orientation camp was a real success, giving students the opportunity to bond, take on new challenges, and have fun together in an idyllic setting. Here are some testimonials from students sharing their highlights and impressions:
Ella :
“This year's camp was wonderful! Everyone learned something new! I met many new friends and had a lot of fun! We did several activities: archery, climbing, obstacle courses, a huge swing, and more… It was truly a magical experience! All the meals were delicious (especially the cake)! Our cabins were fantastic with lovely bathrooms and great bunk beds! I’d love to take my parents there one day!”
Achille :
"This year, the camp was amazing. We had the chance to meet new people and include them in our groups. We did archery, climbing, obstacle courses, and especially the 'Goliath swing', an activity that scared me so much I don’t even want to talk about it! Haha, just kidding, but you were 30 meters off the ground and they let you drop into the void. The food was quite good, but the cake was so delicious that I ate three pieces."
Alba :
"The camp was great; it allowed me to meet a lot of people. I loved all the activities; they were really fun. The other kids in my room were nice, but those in the room next door were a bit noisy. Some activities were both scary and fun, like the giant swing, while others were more challenging, like archery. Every evening after dinner, we did a fun activity. I hope we get to go back there someday."
Henri :
"This year's camp was really fun because there were lots of great activities! My favorite example was the 'Goliath swing' where I went really high, and some other students did too. The swing was my favorite activity because the view from the top was amazing. The chef was really nice, and since I’m picky, he prepared special meals for me that were delicious. There were also two nighttime activities: the first was a silent disco, but not so silent because everyone was singing, and the second was the screening of the movie 'Wish'. Everything was so much fun that I wish I could have stayed longer and done it all again."

Rugby project in Fiji
To do this, they will organise two bake sales with the help of the IB students.
The second sale will be on Tuesday, September 10th, at the same time and place.
French Tennis Open in Sydney - 5 & 6th of October 2024
The Sydney Tennis Open is back for its 11th edition on October 5th and 6th, 2024, at the Eastside Tennis Centre in Kingsford, with the support of BNP Paribas.
This tournament, open to all tennis enthusiasts, is a fundraising event for Redkite, a charity that supports families affected by childhood cancer in Australia and New Caledonia.
The competition features four categories:
Men, Women, Juniors (11-13 and 14-17 years), and Doubles (all ages).
Each participant is guaranteed three round-robin matches, and registration for doubles is free for those signed up for singles.

TEAMKIDS
AES – Pick-up
Our pick up process for AES has changed and we will now be meeting the children at one centralised point near reception. This will allow for a safer and smoother transition from AES to TeamKids.
Pick up for AES children attending TeamKids will need to be after 5:35pm to allow us time for collection and returning to the hall.
Shall I bring an afternoon tea?
A common question we have been receiving onsite is regarding food and snacks. You are not required to pack any additional snacks for TeamKids time.
We provide a meal immediately after school at the service and then late snack at 5:30pm.
Holiday/Vacation Care –
Bookings are now open on FullyBooked and the program for the next two upcoming Vacation Care periods is open. Bookings are essential and made through your online accounts.
