Ambassadors in the Making 2024

This week, the LCS students went to Phnom Penh for the final round of the Ambassadors in Herbs 2024 competition, which took place at the French School René Descartes.

Among the students who excelled in this competition, we have Clément from Cycle 3 and Emmeline from Cycle 4, selected for their individual performance. Additionally, Clément, Gaia, and Eliza have been chosen for the group category but also Elise in Y12. After successfully passing the first round, the school is very proud of their excellence and commitment.

No winners this year, however, the LCS teachers who accompanied the students received many congratulations from the audience for their performances and from colleagues in the Asia-Pacific region.

LCS is extremely proud of them, and they emerge enriched from this fabulous experience.

A calculator to the sea 2024

During Math Week, many activities and competitions are organised. The "A Calculator to the Sea" contest is mainly aimed at students in cycle 3.

This year, they had to solve 21 problems prepared by CM2 students from the French School of Laos. For each of these problems, which increase in difficulty, they must only provide the result found using their calculator.
This competition is becoming increasingly popular, and many schools from France and 39 countries in the AEFE network participated.

The students of Lycée Condorcet are not left behind, and we would like to commend the performances of some of them. In the CM2 level of the competition, Achille (CM2B) ranks 3rd among CM2 students with a score of 20/21. In the 6ème grade level of the competition, Emmie (6B) ranks first among 6th graders with a score of 20/21, closely followed by Juliette (6A), Chloé (6A), and Lily (6B) who scored 19/21.

These are remarkable achievements, and in the 6th grade, the girls are in the spotlight!

Visite de la boulangerie Label baguette avec les CP-C.

Last Thursday, the CPC students had the opportunity to discover the profession of baker during a visit to the bakery Label Baguette. This outing allowed them to learn about the various stages of bread making.

An enriching experience that enabled them to better understand the artisanal work behind each baguette.

Tomorrow, it will be the turn of the CPB students.

Aftercare : Intergenerational Meeting.

After two years of fostering connections between our daycare children and the elders in the Maroubra nursing home, we recently hosted an unforgettable intergenerational meeting that beautifully highlighted the bond that has blossomed over time.

It was a testament to the deepened relationships and mutual understanding that have developed between the generations.
