A message From LCS

Dear Parents,

We were delighted to host such a successful event within our new buildings. More than five hundred parents, students, teachers, and official representatives were gathered in the courtyard where the Gujaga Foundation, followed by the children, performed absolutely wonderful music and songs. We are more than happy to share images and a short podcast featured today on SBS French: PODCAST

We look forward to seeing you on October 28th from 3.15pm to 5.45 pm for our Book Week celebrations including a book signing with Cédric Janvier, second hand book sales organised by Parents & Friends, a bake sale and more. Children from PS to Year 6 are invited to dress up as their favourite book character, too!

Without further ado, we are inviting craftsmen and women, chefs, artisans and other talented people and creative entrepreneurs to register as Stallholders at the LCS Christmas Market. Spread the word! Also, our event team is looking for volunteers to help with the market design, recycling station, etc. so please do not hesitate to send us an email if you are interested in getting involved: christmasmarket@condorcet.com.au

Kind regards,

Nicolas l’Hotellier,
Proviseur / Principal

IMPORTANT COVID19 UPDATE

Please find below an important update on Covid19 regulations:

OPEN

REMINDER: WITHDRAWAL NOTICE

In the event of a possible departure from the school, a 6-week notice period must be respected before the last school day (Friday, November 4 for a last school day of Friday, December 16) to avoid being charged $250. This allows us to better manage the numbers and places allocation, as well as preparing the start of school in January in better conditions. The departure form must be completed on Eduka.

BOOK WEEK

During Book Week, which will take place between October 24th and 28th, 2022, we wish to celebrate the diversity of languages and cultures represented here at LCS. This rich cultural melting pot enforces our school values on a daily basis. Teachers will invite parents to come in to the classrooms during Book Week and read a book to the students in one of the languages their family speaks at home.

FUNDRAISER TO PROVIDE ALL CHILDREN WITH ACCESS TO BOOKS - IT'S UP TO YOU!

We are fundraising to help Dymocks Children's Charities. To accomplish this we have created a team called The International French School of Sydney Book Parade. If you can, please help by fundraising alongside us in The International French School of Sydney Book Parade. If fundraising is not your thing then you can also help by making a donation through our team's page. It only takes a minute and any money you can give (no matter how large or small) will go a long way to helping us reach our target. Thank you, we really appreciate your support... LINK.

CREATIVE WRITING CLUB

A small group of year 3-5 students meets every Tuesday afternoon at Creative Writing Club to put into words the fantastical storylines of their imaginations. In this English speaking extracurricular activity, children get the chance to express their creative ideas through different kinds of texts with the guidance of their teacher who helps them bring their stories to life, plan them, edit and auto-evaluate them. With different themes to inspire the kids, last week the children wrote about animals with exciting tales about wolves, lions and more.
